The team of US President Donald Trump plans to impose new sanctions against Russia. This was reported on April 15 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing sources in high-ranking circles.

"They think they have a political cover to consider (new restrictions. — Ed.) in the event that Trump really decides that he has had enough [of Russian President Vladimir] Putin," the article says.

According to the WSJ, the Ministry of Finance and the US State Department are already dealing with the issue of tightening anti-Russian sanctions, adds "Газета.Ru ".

On the eve of the Democrats in the US House of Representatives introduced a bill that should put pressure on the Trump administration and support Ukraine. According to the Reuters news agency, the law should provide financing for the security and reconstruction of the country, as well as introduce strict restrictions against the Russian Federation.
