The Commission will be a permanent collegial advisory body under the Government of St. Petersburg. She will address issues related to the maintenance of the Red Book of St. Petersburg, the inclusion and exclusion of plant and animal species, the 78 TV channel reports.
The meeting of the commission will be held as necessary. Based on its decisions, specialists will be able to prepare draft legal acts and instructions from the governor. The commission will be headed by Kirill Soloveitchik, head of the Committee on Environmental Management.
Earlier, on April 11, it was reported that a hazel dormouse had emerged from hibernation in the forests of Moscow. This was reported by biologists of the Moscow Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection. The red-haired animal leaves its burrow in April and returns to its usual life, which is hidden from prying eyes. This rare species is listed in the Red Book of Moscow. The awakening of this animal is considered one of the signs of the onset of the climatic spring.
