The Bank of Russia has revoked the license of Promtransbank

The Bank of Russia has revoked Promtransbank's operating license by decree. This was announced on April 15 on the regulator's website.

"By order dated 04/15/2025, the Bank of Russia revoked the license for banking operations from the PromTransBank Bank credit institution. In terms of assets, the credit institution ranked 177th in the banking system of the Russian Federation," the statement said.

It is clarified that the decision was made due to repeated violations by the organization of laws and regulations.

"The credit institution was chronically unprofitable. PTB Bank (LLC) carried out large long—term investments, the profitability of which did not cover the costs of the funds raised, which for a long time systematically had a negative impact on the size of its own funds," the Central Bank said.
