Russians were warned about a new trick of scammers with the Gosuslugi service

The scammers began sending e-mail messages to Russians on behalf of the Gosuslugi service about an allegedly suspicious account login.
"The letter contains a "recommendation" according to which, if the user has not logged into his account, you should check the security settings and "urgently contact" the support service, whose fake phone number is given in the message," RIA Novosti warned on April 15.
At the same time, in their messages, the scammers misspell the name of the service as "Gos uslugi".
On April 13, the Interior Ministry warned about a new scheme of identity theft through "Public Services". Fraudsters steal victims' personal data from profiles on the Gosuslugi portal by making a phone call, during which they introduce themselves as employees of medical institutions and offer to undergo a medical examination.
In order to protect themselves from fraudsters, a person needs to come up with and set complex passwords, the Interior Ministry advised. Another way is to install a two-factor authentication system.
