AP journalist was not allowed to attend Trump's press conference

An Associated Press (AP) reporter was not allowed into the White House for a press conference with US President Donald Trump, despite a court ruling. This was reported by AP on Monday, April 14.
"Despite the court order, a reporter and photographer from the Associated Press were barred from attending a press conference in the Oval Office on Monday with President Donald Trump and his colleague from El Salvador, Nayib Bukele," the publication says.
As indicated in the publication, according to a federal court ruling issued last week, the administration of the American leader is prohibited from punishing the AP.
On February 25, it was reported that the Federal Court of the District of Columbia refused the American news agency Associated Press to resume access for its journalists to White House events.
Prior to that, on February 22, it was reported that the AP filed a lawsuit against the assistants of the US president for the fact that the journalists of the editorial office were denied access to the head of state. The reason for the restrictions was the agency's refusal to name the Gulf of Mexico by its new toponym, the Gulf of America. The AP believes that Trump's decision violates the country's constitution, including the First Amendment, which guarantees freedom of speech.
