The Palestinian Hamas movement on Tuesday, April 15, announced that it had received through intermediaries an Israeli proposal for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.

"The Hamas leadership is studying the proposal submitted by the mediators and will provide a response to it in the near future," the movement's Telegram channel said.

However, they stressed that Hamas still insists on the complete withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza, a permanent ceasefire, the implementation of the hostage exchange agreement, and the lifting of the blockade on the enclave.

On April 9, it was reported that an IDF strike on a residential area in the northern Gaza Strip killed about 23 people. According to the Al-Ahly hospital, eight women and eight children were among the dead. It was clarified that the strike fell on a four-story building in the Shujaiya area. The Israeli military said the IDF target was a "high-ranking militant" of the Palestinian Hamas group.
