One person was killed and one injured due to a nitrogen leak in Paris

In Paris, a worker was killed and a visitor was hospitalized due to a nitrogen leak in a gym. This was announced on April 14 by BFMTV.

"On Monday, April 14, a man died as a result of an accidental release of gas in a gym located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris," the article says.

It is specified that the victim was an employee of the institution born in 1996. A visitor born in 2001 also required hospitalization.

The gym could accommodate up to 150 people. All visitors had to evacuate due to the incident.

"An autopsy and toxicological analysis have been scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. It is assumed that death occurred during a cryotherapy session. An investigation has been launched and assigned to the police station of the 11th arrondissement of Paris in conjunction with the labor inspectorate," the TV channel reports.

In 2023, at least 24 people died in South Africa due to a gas leak. It is specified that the faulty gas cylinder was in the yard of one of the houses. Everyone who was nearby died, including women and children. Investigators admit that nitrogen could be used for illegal mining.

On May 8 of the same year, more than 50 elementary school students in Japan were poisoned by a domestic gas leak. At least eight children were taken to hospitals.
