An investigation has been launched in Britain after the desecration of 85 Muslim graves.

The UK police have launched an investigation into the desecration of at least 85 Muslim graves, including children's graves. This was reported on Monday, April 14, by the Daily Mail (DM) newspaper.

"Muslim graves of children and infants are among at least 85 damaged by vandals as a result of an "Islamophobic crime" at Watford Cemetery," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, this incident occurred on Saturday, April 12, in the Muslim part of the cemetery in Watford, as a result of an act of vandalism, dozens of tombstones were destroyed. As the newspaper notes, many of the graves belong to children.

Public activists have proposed introducing life sentences for vandals acting for ideological reasons.
