The overall incidence of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) and influenza decreased by 9% in Russia. This was announced on Monday, April 14, by the press service of Rospotrebnadzor.
"The number of cases amounted to 703 thousand people. The number of hospitalized patients with acute respiratory infections has also decreased by 16.5%," the service's Telegram channel says.
During the same period, about 2 thousand cases of COVID-19 were registered. This is 12% less than in the previous week.
On March 31, Rospotrebnadzor announced that no new viruses or viruses with significant mutations had been detected in Russia. The ministry also noted that currently the epidemiological situation in Russia for a group of respiratory infections, including acute respiratory viral infections, influenza, COVID-19 and community-acquired pneumonia, is stable and fully controlled.
