The Houthis will step up strikes against US forces both in intensity and destructive power, member of the Ansar Allah movement's politburo Khuzam al-Asad told Izvestia.

"Yemen's military operations against Israeli territory and Israeli shipping in the Red Sea depend on stopping the aggression and allowing us to deliver aid to our people in Gaza. Confronting the American aggression that supports the Israeli entity is a legitimate right of Yemen and will increase in both intensity and destructive power until this aggression stops," the spokesman for the movement said.

He emphasized that the current US strikes, regardless of their scale and degree of escalation, will not affect the movement's stance on supporting Palestine. As Ansar Allah assures, the military operations of the Houthis continue deep inside Israeli territory. The purpose of these attacks, according to Khuzam al-Assad, is to pressure Israel to stop the fighting and provide humanitarian aid to Gazans.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on March 15 that he had ordered the U.S. military to begin action against the Yemeni Houthis. Soon, the U.S. Armed Forces Central Command announced the launch of a large-scale operation in Yemen.

In response, the Ansar Allah movement launched a series of attacks on the US aircraft carrier Harry Truman in the northern Red Sea, using missiles and drones.
