- Orban's adviser named the amount of expenses for Ukraine's admission to the European Union

Ukraine's accession to the European Union will cost the union's budget €2.5 trillion. This was announced on April 14 by Balazs Orban, advisor to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, during the Money Talks 25 conference.
"The full integration of Ukraine, stretched over several years, will require approximately 2.5 trillion euros, which is 12 times higher than the EU budget this year," he said.
According to the official, in case of Ukraine's accession, the European Union will also have to pay for the costs of rebuilding the country, which will cost another 500 billion euros.
"In addition, maintaining the functioning of the Ukrainian state will cost 100 billion euros per year, which must also be mostly paid for by the European Union," Balazs Orban added.
On April 12, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko questioned Ukraine's accession to the European Union. He called the country's president, Vladimir Zelensky, inexperienced. According to the head of Belarus, his colleague must admit this. He also recommended Zelensky to listen to his elders in matters that he does not understand. According to Lukashenko, Ukraine has nothing to do in the EU.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto on March 31 called the EU's attempts to speed up the process of Ukraine's accession to the union a disgrace. According to him, the countries of the Western Balkans have been waiting for accession for 14 years. The Minister also noted that they are much more prepared for this than Ukraine.
