- Deputy Mayor Sergunina announced the congress of the tourism industry of Moscow and India

The OTOAI Convention, organized by the Association of Outbound Tourism Operators of India with the support of the Moscow government, will be held in the Russian capital from July 10 to 13, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.
"Business negotiations and expert presentations are planned. Foreign participants will be presented with leisure opportunities in Moscow, popular routes and sightseeing tours will be shown," Natalia Sergunina said.
Experts from relevant departments and employees of leading travel agencies in Moscow and India are invited to the event.
India is one of the three leaders in the number of travelers from far-abroad countries coming to Moscow. In 2024, the city was visited by 1.4 times more citizens of this state than in 2023.
"The Congress will be an important event for Indian-Russian relations in the field of tourism. Moscow is characterized by an ideal combination of historical heritage and modernity. This is exactly what Indian travelers are looking for today," said Himanshu Patil, President of the Indian Association of Outbound Tourism Operators.
At the Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) industry exhibition in India in January, the capital's delegation held more than 1,200 business meetings. An important result was the signing of an agreement on joint work to increase the tourist flow between Moscow and Mumbai, as well as a cooperation agreement with one of the leading travel companies. Indian colleagues will visit Moscow soon to discuss new projects.
Earlier, Moscow hosted the international forum Meet Global MICE Congress: BRICS Edition, which brought together about 1.3 thousand business tourism industry professionals from the BRICS countries. Approximately two thousand meetings with potential partners took place within the framework of the event.
