During a joint press conference with his Salvadoran counterpart Nayib Bukele on April 14, US President Donald Trump said he expected "good proposals" to resolve the conflict in Ukraine in the near future.

"I want to stop the killings. And I think we're doing a good job of that. I think there will be very good offers very soon," he said at the event, which was broadcast on the YouTube channel of broadcaster CNBC Television.

The President added that in the years leading up to the conflict, Washington could have done a lot to prevent a clash in Ukraine.

On the same day, the American leader published a post on the Truth Social social network, in which he blamed the previous presidential administration of Joe Biden for the Ukrainian crisis. Trump has stated that he has nothing to do with the conflict, but still seeks to stop the destruction in Ukraine.
