The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported to Putin on the situation with spring floods in the country

On April 14, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, Alexander Kurenkov, at a meeting with the government, reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the situation with spring floods in the country.

"The spring flood started a little earlier than usual, but, in general, it passes without significant complications," Kurenkov said.

According to the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, to date, one residential building, 88 household plots and 33 transport infrastructure facilities have been flooded in the Russian Federation. Kurenkov stressed that the agency is constantly monitoring the situation with spring floods. In particular, artificial intelligence technologies are used for this purpose.

Long flood: the active flood phase began in 11 regions

So far, some rivers are flooded, while others have critically low water levels.

Earlier in the day, Putin demanded a timely response to forest fires and to avoid severe consequences. At the meeting, Kurenkov said that the fire season was open in 69 regions of Russia.
