The expert gave advice on how to improve the sound insulation in the apartment

Modern technologies can effectively solve the problem of noise pollution in apartment buildings. Alexander Korshunov, the manager for the development of the DIY and Acoustics segments of the ROCKVOOL company, told Izvestia on April 15.

According to the expert, the optimal solution to the issue of sound insulation is an integrated approach to it at the repair stage.

"The most effective way to protect against noise is the box—in—a-box technology, when all surfaces of the room are soundproof: walls, ceiling and floor," the expert explained.

As Korshunov explained, the modern market offers various solutions to improve acoustic comfort: thin 10 mm sound insulation panels for walls that preserve usable area, special suspended systems for ceilings, "floating" sound insulation for various types of floor screeds.

"Noise is one of the main irritants in urban development and the most common cause of conflicts between neighbors. More and more stringent measures are being taken to combat it," the expert noted.

He said that in the near future, violators of silence may have to pay considerable sums for their habits. However, quarrels and fines can be avoided if you follow the rules of acoustic hygiene.
