On April 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation and head of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), to continue supporting sports federations and to provide assistance to the Ministry of Sports and the ROC.

Putin also demanded to reduce the financial burden on families for playing sports.
