Experts spoke about the sharp increase in demand for new buildings in Moscow

Since the beginning of 2025, there has been a boom in demand for apartments in new buildings in the capital. According to the results of February 2025, 31% more apartments were sold in the Russian capital — 11.5 thousand equity participation agreements (DDU) than in the same period of 2024. This was reported to Izvestia on April 15 at the CORE.XP consulting company.
In March 2025, the volume of apartment sales on the primary real estate market in Moscow decreased by 17% compared to the same month last year, amounting to 45.5 thousand units.
For comparison, in December 2024, the dynamics was negative: in annual terms, sales fell by 18%.
"The growth in demand in early 2025 occurred against the background of installments by developers and a gradual reduction in mortgage rates. In turn, the restrained launch of a new volume of housing for sale has increased the interest of potential buyers," summed up the director of residential real estate CORE.XP Ekaterina Lomteva.
Earlier, on January 9, Izvestia got acquainted with a study by the Aeroplane company, which reported on the mandatory amenities of Russians when buying an apartment. According to experts, in the new year Muscovites want to buy apartments with dressing rooms (23%), built-in closets (15%), additional outlets on the balcony (13%), a second bathroom (12%), a master bedroom (9%) and a niche for a washing machine (8%).
