New versions of UAZ cars have been certified in Russia

Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has certified in Russia a line of commercial UAZ "Profi" in a new modification with a diesel engine. The model has received Vehicle Type Approval (OTT), the document is available to Izvestia.

OTTS allows you to start mass sales in the Russian market. UAZ has received the appropriate certificates for the "Pro" with a 136 hp (320 Nm) 2.0 diesel engine, which comes in conjunction with a six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. UAZ will begin mass production of diesel "Pros" in the near future.

Currently, the UAZ Profi is available with a 150-horsepower gasoline engine, which is combined with five-speed mechanics with both rear and all-wheel drive.

Izvestia was the first to test the diesel-powered UAZ Patriot

On March 27, it became known that the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant will soon begin equipping cars of the new and old UAZ model ranges with engines of an improved design. The improved ZMZ 409th family engines will receive the Patriot, Pickup, Pro and Loaf models. In early April, Sollers Transmission Manufacturing began mass production of new manual transmissions for UAZ Profi and Sollers models.
