A stray dog bit a three-year-old child's face on a playground in Engels, a criminal case has been opened. This was announced on April 14 by the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Saratov region (SU IC RF).

It is specified that the incident occurred in the village of Privolzhsky. As a result of the incident, the boy was injured and hospitalized.

"The investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Saratov region have opened a criminal case on negligence (Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the agency's Telegram channel says.

Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, instructed Dmitry Kostin, head of the investigative Department for the Saratov Region, to report on the progress of the criminal investigation.

On February 26, a Rottweiler attacked a woman with a five-year-old child in Yekaterinburg. The dog wouldn't let passersby near them, growled and continued to threaten others. Eyewitnesses tried to drive the dog away with a rake, but he also rushed at them. The victim managed to call the emergency services.
