The European Commission (EC) has developed an assistance program for the Palestinian National Authority (PA) in the amount of €1.6 billion. The EC announced this on Monday, April 14, on its official website.

"Today, on the occasion of the first ever high—level political dialogue between the European Union and the Palestinian Authority, the European Commission is proposing a multi-year comprehensive support program worth up to €1.6 billion to help rebuild and enhance the resilience of Palestine," the publication says.

The funds will be allocated to finance the service sector, restore and stabilize the situation in the West Bank, and support the private sector. The multi-year comprehensive program is designed for 2025-2027.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, which was held from April 11 to 13, said that peace in the Middle East is impossible without the creation of an independent Palestinian state. He also called on all members of the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), to take responsibility, "stop the bloodshed and support the Palestinian people."
