The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered 30 tons of humanitarian aid to Myanmar

Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations have delivered another batch of humanitarian aid to the people of Myanmar after the earthquake. This was reported on the agency's website on April 14.

"The humanitarian operation was carried out in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and on behalf of the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov," the statement said.

The ministry clarified that the IL-76 delivered humanitarian cargo with a total weight of over 30 tons. Russian rescuers handed over canned food, cereals, sugar, as well as medical supplies to the residents of Myanmar.

On April 9, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered humanitarian aid to Myanmar. It was noted that the Ministry of Emergency Situations had delivered mobile power plants, tents and blankets, as well as basic necessities.

Two earthquakes in Myanmar of magnitude 7.7 and 6.4 became known on March 28. The epicenter of one of them was located 31 km northwest of the city of Mandalay. As a result of the natural disaster, more than 3.6 thousand people died in the republic, and another 5,020 were injured. The next day, on March 29, over 100 Russian rescuers arrived in Myanmar to provide assistance.
