Two road companies in the Rostov region have paid a fine to the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the amount of 396.2 million rubles for participating in a cartel during bidding for the repair and maintenance of roads in southern Russia. This was announced by the Antimonopoly Service on April 14.

"The budget of the Russian Federation has received funds from participants of the "road cartel" — Taganrog DSU LLC and RostovAvtoDorStroy LLC," the Telegram channel says.

According to the agency, several road companies have joined together in a cartel in order to manipulate prices at auctions. The auctions concerned the construction, repair, reconstruction and maintenance of highways in the Rostov and Volgograd regions, as well as in the Republic of Adygea.

As a result of the audit, the FAS found these organizations to have violated the antimonopoly legislation and imposed a fine on each of them.

In December last year, the FAS disclosed a cartel worth 15 billion rubles as part of the national project "Safe, high-quality Roads." Violations of antimonopoly legislation were found in the companies DorMost LLC, StroyUgRegion LLC and ANT LLC, which concluded an anticompetitive agreement to maintain prices in 28 trading procedures. The total amount of government contracts amounted to 14.9 billion rubles.
