On April 14, the Constitutional Court of Moldova stripped Gagauzia of its authority to appoint an autonomous prosecutor. This is stated in the court's ruling.

The Constitutional Court granted the Prosecutor General's request and declared unconstitutional Articles 21 of the law "On the Special Legal Status of Gagauzia", as well as Articles 25 (Part 3) and 26 of the Law "On the Prosecutor's Office".
