US President Donald Trump's adviser on trade and manufacturing, Peter Navarro, said on April 13 that he had no strained relations with the head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Elon Musk, after the businessman's negative remarks in his direction.

"Everything is fine with Ilona. I've been called worse," he told NBC News.

In addition, Navarro also positively assessed the work that Musk is doing as part of the DOGE activities. According to him, Musk brings "a tremendous contribution to America."

Elon Musk called Navarro an "idiot" on April 8. This is how the businessman reacted to his statement that Tesla, owned by Musk, buys a significant part of the components for electric vehicles from foreign suppliers.
