Russians have become more likely to buy air conditioners and other climate technology

In 2025, Russians began to buy air conditioners and other climate technology 21% more often compared to the beginning of 2024. At the same time, the volume of expenses increased by 33%, and the average check increased by 10%, amounting to 28,813 rubles. This follows from the data of the Post Bank, which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 15.

At the top of customer preferences is the purchase of split systems, outdoor and mobile air conditioners, breezers, as well as other air filtration equipment. At the same time, expenses for maintenance of equipment increased by 20%, and the average receipt increased by 13%, to 5,189 rubles.

According to the credit institution, this is due to the fact that the population is preparing in advance for the summer season, which is forecast to be hotter than usual in 2025. In addition, most Russians prefer to carry out maintenance of climate control equipment in advance due to the relatively high demand and prices for these services during the warmer months.

Earlier, on February 23, it was reported that Russians began to prefer domestic brands of household appliances and electronics more. In 2024, compared with 2023, their sales in some popular categories increased by one and a half to two times, market players and experts told Izvestia. Denis Filippov, head of SberDevices, explained that the growing demand for Russian-made goods in a number of segments is due to the fact that they work on domestic-developed software. This ensures stable operation and regular updates.
