- The prosecution has requested 14 years in prison for Shlyafman in the Talkov murder case.

The prosecution demands that the concert director of singer Igor Talkov, Valery Shlyafman, be sentenced to 14 years in prison in the case of the musician's murder. This was announced on April 14 by the joint press service of the courts of St. Petersburg.
"The prosecution asked the court to impose a 14—year prison sentence in a high-security penal colony," the Telegram channel says.
Shlyafman's defenders, in turn, asked for his acquittal.
According to the indictment, on October 6, 1991, at the Yubileyny Sports Palace, Shlyafman tried to shoot Igor Malakhov, the concert director of the singer Aziza, on the grounds of hostility towards him because of the order of performances of the artists. Malakhov was able to dodge the bullet, but Talkov was wounded. The accused fled to Israel in 1992.
