Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Kherson region detained a local resident who is involved in the activities of an illegal armed group. This was announced on April 14 by the press service of the department.
It has been established that since December 2015, the defendant voluntarily joined and participated in the activities of an illegal military formation operating on the territory of Kiev. The main goals of the group included not only the implementation of the food, energy and water blockade of Crimea from the Ukrainian side, but also the undermining of the integrity of Russia, as well as the armed struggle for the return of the peninsula to Ukraine.
A criminal case has been opened on this fact under Part 2 of Article 208 of the Criminal Code of Russia "Organization of an illegal armed group or participation in it, as well as participation in an armed conflict or military actions for purposes contrary to the interests of the Russian Federation." The suspect was taken into custody. He faces up to 15 years in prison.
On April 8, in the Czech Republic, the prosecutor's office accused citizen Lukasz Pashkuliak of committing a criminal offense. He became part of the army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine without the permission of the President of the Republic. The accused faces up to 15 years in prison.
