The staff of the Yalta Nature Reserve appealed to tourists not to touch the cubs of roe deer and deer. Soon, ungulates will begin to have offspring, and experts told the guests of the reserve in advance how best to behave when meeting with babies.

According to the staff of the reserve, young ungulates fall into a stupor when people or strangers approach them. It is their unique protective feature to remain motionless when they are in danger. In addition, the cubs do not have a bright natural smell, which gives them the opportunity to remain unnoticed by predators. When a person touches animals, they can leave their aromatic trail, and this can harm their offspring.

Visitors to the reserve are advised not to leave pets next to the kids, not to be photographed sitting next to them, not to leave foreign objects next to wild animals, not to try to feed them, writes IA SevastopolMedia.

Earlier, Sevastopol in Crimea summed up the results of the first year of monitoring of rare and endangered species of plants, fungi and animals. Biologists have found new locations where thin-lipped dormouse and oriental mullein grow. The number of Kolyvan butterfly remained stable. But there are even more deer beetles. The observation was carried out in the Baydarsky Nature Reserve.
