People's Artist of the RSFSR Nina Grigorieva died at the age of 87.

Nina Grigorieva, an actress of the Chuvash State Academic Drama Theater, People's Artist of the RSFSR, died at the age of 87. This was announced on April 14 by the head of the region Oleg Nikolaev.

"It is with deep sorrow that I inform you that Nina Grigorieva, People's Artist of the RSFSR, legend of the Chuvash Academic Drama Theater, has passed away," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to Nikolayev, Grigorieva has worked in the theater for 62 years. She imagined herself in images "that will forever remain in the history of Chuvash art and in the hearts of the audience." He also noted the talent of the actress. Grigorieva has played over a hundred roles. She took part in such productions as "Penniless", "Aidar", "Barbarians", "The Power of Darkness", "Farewell to Mother", "Narspi".

"Her passing is an irreparable loss for our entire theater community and for all those who admired her talent and charm," he stressed.

According to him, the actress was a symbol of dedication to her work, an example of "high professionalism and humanity." Nikolaev also expressed his condolences to the artist's family and friends.

"The bright memory of the great actress is forever in our hearts," he concluded.

Grigorieva was born on December 7, 1938 in the village of Chirichkasy in the Tsivilsky district of Chuvashia. In 1961, she graduated from the Lunacharsky State Institute of Theater Arts (GITIS) in Moscow. The actress was a laureate of the State Prize of the Republic named after K. V. Ivanov, the Mikhail Sespel Prize of the Komsomol of Chuvashia. She was also awarded the Order of Merit for the Chuvash Republic.
