Preparations for the influx of tourists have begun in Abkhazia.

Thus, the republic is actively modernizing its infrastructure and putting plantations in order.

"The main point, in addition to high-quality tea, is that the water must be of high quality. Few people can make such tea, the air is different here, the climate is different, the birds are singing," said the plantation worker.

Tourist Natalia noted that the infrastructure in Abkhazia has improved slightly, but still looks unkempt. She expressed the hope that order would be restored in the republic, as the nature in the region is beautiful.

Izvestia correspondent Yaroslav Bogat reported that Psyrtskha station, considered one of the most picturesque in Abkhazia, is also being renovated for the summer season. In addition, the Abbaat platform, which has been abandoned for a long time, is being restored.

"You know, while we were building, I talked to many passengers who have been coming here for years. Many people were even surprised: when they came up here earlier, it was abandoned, the train didn't even stop here," admitted Nikita Aiba, the station head.

Railway stations are also being restored along the entire route from Psou to Sukhum, and the local airport will reopen in the near future.

In addition, a personnel reserve has begun to be formed in the region. 3,000 people expressed their desire to show their managerial abilities, and just over 80 reached the finals.

It is specified that 22 winners of the competition received new positions, including the chief of staff of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Deputy Prime Minister. The President of Abkhazia, Badra Gunba, noted the presence of like-minded people with great potential in the team and promised that they would soon occupy responsible positions.

The best participants will also complete an educational program at the Senezh Management Workshop in Russia and an internship in Russian and Abkhaz government agencies, which will help develop a managerial reserve.

On February 6, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the early opening of the Sukhumi International Airport, which has not functioned for more than 30 years (since 1993), should contribute to the development of tourism in Abkhazia. According to him, Russia, in turn, intends to further develop relations with the republic, which will contribute to the mutual growth of economies and trade.
