More than 120 ticks were removed from Krasnoyarsk residents over the weekend

Over the past weekend, 122 cases of tick sucking were recorded in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. 22 children, among others, suffered from these insects. These are the data from the regional Rospotrebnadzor.

At the same time, in 83% of cases, ticks attacked in Krasnoyarsk and its surroundings. The agency warned that the activity of arthropods will only increase every day. They advise to follow preventive measures, carefully inspect pets after a walk, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

In early April, specialized laboratories recorded an explosive increase in the admission of ticks for analysis. According to the Hemotest laboratory, in the first week of April, 50% of the total number of ticks received for the whole of March were brought for analysis.

As of early April, ticks had become more active in 47 Russian regions, Izvestia calculated, analyzing data from the regional departments of Rospotrebnadzor. Arthropods usually wake up in May and June, experts say. And such an early start of the tick-borne "season" this year, in their opinion, is explained by the warm winter and early thaw.
