The capital's schools and the Mosvolonter team are actively helping participants in the special military operation and residents of new and border regions of the country with various humanitarian aid. This was announced on April 14 on the portal of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
Alexander Levit, director of the Mosvolonter Resource Center, called teachers, schoolchildren and their parents the most active participants in the Moscow Helps humanitarian aid project. According to him, Mosvolonter helps to develop volunteer activities in more than 460 schools.
Most of the schools have been providing support to the Russian military since February 2022, including educational institutions No. 2005, Izmailovskaya School No. 1508 and school No. 1542. Children have been drawing postcards, writing letters, and sending humanitarian aid to Russian military personnel for three years. Pupils of school No. 2005 also handed over New Year's scarves knitted by their parents to the soldiers, and Izmailovo school No. 1508 organized a volunteer group "Victory" under the leadership of Ekaterina Aghamyan, adviser to the director of the institution, who sent over 15 trucks with humanitarian aid during the entire training camp.
Some institutions have been providing assistance for more than a year, including school No. 1586, which sends humanitarian aid to residents of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) and soldiers who are undergoing treatment, and members of the Zvezda volunteer unit at school No. 922, who have collected more than 100 boxes of medicines, warm clothes and hygiene items during this time. They are currently participating in the Marathon of Kindness.
Schools No. 1542 and No. 1541 took part in the "Let's get the child ready for School" campaign and sent office kits, backpacks and starter school kits for children from new regions of the Russian Federation. Take school No. 1541 sent balls and nets for the football club, books for the library, drawing devices to the art school, as well as toys and clothes to the social center to the institutions of the Zaporozhye region.
At Ramenki School No. 1434, on the initiative of Natalia Kulikova, adviser to the director, they even created a group to help soldiers on social networks, and teachers, parents and children joined it. The activists themselves sewed clothes, made camouflage nets, and wrote letters and poems for the soldiers.
On March 7, the mayor's office shared how farmers participating in Moscow fairs regularly help their fighters and residents of border areas by sending them their products. Thus, it was noted that, thanks to one of the participants of the interregional fair, canned deer and wild boar meat, nutritious and nutritious products suitable for field conditions, had already been delivered to the fighters.
