- The Kremlin answered the question about the extension of the Russian moratorium on strikes on energy

The possibility of extending the moratorium on strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure after April 16 will depend on the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was announced on April 14 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"It will depend on President Putin's decision," he told TASS, answering a question about a possible extension of the agreement.
The press secretary of the Russian president recalled that the Ukrainian side had not observed the moratorium, and clarified that in order to make a final decision, it was necessary to analyze all 30 days for which the agreement was concluded.
Peskov added that the Russian side can exchange information and considerations with the United States, after which the president will make a decision. It is noted that Moscow constantly informs Washington that Kiev does not comply with the moratorium on strikes on energy facilities.
On April 12, Alexey Polishchuk, Director of the second CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced that Ukraine had violated the agreement on a 30-day moratorium on attacks on Russian energy facilities more than 60 times. According to him, Ukrainian militants are trying to attack the energy infrastructure of the Russian Federation on a daily basis.
During talks with US President Donald Trump on March 18, Putin supported the idea of Moscow and Kiev mutually rejecting attacks on energy infrastructure and gave the appropriate order to Russian structures. On the same day, after the public consent of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, to suspend strikes on the energy sector, the Ukrainian army attacked an energy facility in the village of Kavkazskaya in the Krasnodar Territory.
