An apartment building caught fire in the village of Khomutovo, Irkutsk region, killing a woman. This was announced on April 14 by the press service of the main regional directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

It is specified that at the time of the fire, a woman and her eldest son were in a two-story apartment building. At first, the fire began to spread through the first floor, and was discovered by the youngest son of the hostess of the house. When he saw Gorenje, he started throwing stones at the window of the second floor, thereby waking his brother.

After the eldest was able to get out through the window to the street, the brothers called the fire department and tried to get inside to help their mother escape, but due to heavy smoke, they were unable to do so. The body of a 63-year-old woman was later found by rescuers.

Flame on 18 sq. m. m was able to eliminate 12 fire service specialists and four pieces of equipment. According to the agency, the cause of the fire was a short circuit in the electrical wiring.

On April 11, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Bashkortostan reported one death as a result of a fire at the Mir shopping center in Ufa. It was clarified that the fire occurred in the parking lot of the center, the gorenje area was 1 sq. m.
