Vilfand predicted the onset of May weather in Moscow from April 15

Starting from Tuesday, April 15, the temperature in the capital region will exceed normal values by 4-5 degrees, which will already be considered May weather. This was announced on April 14 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

"On Tuesday afternoon, the temperature will rise above +15 degrees, which is 4 degrees above normal, this is already May weather. And from Tuesday to Friday, the temperature will be 4-5 degrees above normal," he told TASS.

According to forecasters, snow will fall in Moscow on Tuesday, and there will be no snow at all on Wednesday. He noted that on Wednesday, April 16, the temperature in the capital is expected to be around +18... +20 degrees, and on Thursday, April 17, it may rise to +22 degrees. The sun will be shining outside, no precipitation is expected.

Wilfand explained the May figures in April by the acticyclonal weather regime, with an influx of southern warm air masses currently taking place along the western periphery.

"In the future, "crazy" weather characteristics will be recorded in April," said the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center.

On April 12, Vilfand also predicted a rise in temperature in Moscow to normal starting on April 14. According to him, the real spring will come in the capital from Tuesday, April 15.
