The military of the Russian Armed Forces told about the liberation of Pyatikhatka in the Zaporozhye area

Novorossiysk paratroopers told about the liberation of the settlement of Pyatikhatki in the Zaporozhye area of the special military operation (SVO). On April 14, the Russian Ministry of Defense showed footage of soldiers' combat work.

It is specified that stormtroopers, operators of unmanned aerial vehicles, mortar crews and amphibious units were involved in the liberation work.

"The enemy dug shelters right in the houses, made communication routes under the houses. <...> In the event of our offensive, they dispersed, directly from under the houses along the communication routes they immediately ran out to firing positions," said the battalion commander with the call sign Nail.

He clarified that the operation would not have gone well without support from the sky. According to him, the drone operators have made a great contribution to the successful completion of the combat mission. They assisted in the assault, using FPV drones to destroy equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and protect the personnel of the Russian army.

In addition, the company commander with the call sign Orel noted that the Ukrainian militants were working behind closed doors, guarding their positions with a machine gun. He added that during the liberation of the settlement, the mortar and UAV crews worked the most because of the fighting style of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Currently, Russian military personnel continue their advance north of the village of Rabocino, recapture strongholds from the enemy and take control of the main roads leading towards the Zaporizhia region, the department noted.

On April 11, the commander of the Zapad group of forces, Sergey Kuzovlev, announced that Russian military personnel were fighting for four settlements in the Izyum direction. It was clarified that since the beginning of 2025, 18 settlements have passed under the control of the Russian Armed Forces in the Izyum direction, the total area of the liberated territory exceeded 330 square kilometers.
