- The Belgian-Luxembourg TA told about the round table with potential SPIEF participants

In spring, a closed round table with potential participants of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) was held in Bruges. Oleg Prozorov, Director General of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in the Russian Federation, told Izvestia.
"At the moment we have sent materials on the forum to possibly interested companies in Belgium and Luxembourg. In March we even held a closed round table in Bruges, where we distributed printed materials in partnership with Roscongress. I think closer to mid-May there will be an understanding of interest. Unfortunately, travel, without direct communication, is complicated, and business is all under pressure. The EU is not the US, even diplomatic dialog is difficult, if not completely absent," Prozorov said.
At the same time, the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce sees an increase in inquiries and interest in the Russian market, as well as the economic situation in the Eurasian region.
"There has been a particularly noticeable increase since last November, after the elections in America. Everyone is in anticipation, it seems to me, but I wouldn't make rash statements about a comeback just yet. We are watching with cautious optimism," Prozorov added.
