In the United States, an unknown person set fire to the residence of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro on the night of April 13. The official wrote about this on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
"At 2 a.m., my family and I were woken up by the Pennsylvania police knocking on the door as an arsonist started a fire at the governor's residence in Harrisburg," the statement said.
The head of state and his relatives were transported from the residence to a safe place, as a result of the incident no one was injured, the fire was extinguished.
Information about the identity of the attacker and his motive has not yet been provided.
On April 1, it was reported that a 34-year-old Ukrainian was arrested in Poland for three months, who poured gasoline and set fire to his employer. It was clarified that the victim was taken to a medical facility in serious condition. The man faces a sentence of imprisonment ranging from 8 years to life.
