- Ambassador Kelin accused the EU and Britain of trying to stop the peace process in Ukraine

The European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom are doing everything possible to stop the search for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated on April 13 by Russian Ambassador to London Andrey Kelin in an interview with the BBC.
"It's important. Because now the EU, together with the UK, are doing everything to stop it," he said during the broadcast, as quoted by TASS.
According to the ambassador, Moscow is currently working on a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine. He called this process quite intensive, being implemented in different directions. Sooner or later, he continued, the search for ways to resolve the crisis will yield results.
Kelin also urged not to interfere with this work.
Earlier, on April 9, Marc Botenga, a member of the European Parliament (EP) from Belgium, said that representatives of European political elites want to cash in on the Ukrainian crisis and are not interested in a peaceful settlement of the conflict. These include, in particular, Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever, as well as politicians from other EU countries who benefit from arms supplies to Kiev, he said.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on the same day that European countries had once again "taken wing" against Russia. He noted that Moscow is witnessing another wave when Europe turned against the Russian Federation.
