Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro underwent intestinal surgery after he was diagnosed with intestinal obstruction. This was announced on April 13 by the G1 portal.

Bolsonaro was hospitalized on April 11 during a meeting in the municipality of Rio Grande, after the politician felt abdominal pain. The ex-president had health problems due to an assassination attempt in 2018, when he was stabbed.
