Another earthquake was recorded in Tajikistan

Tajikistan has experienced its fourth earthquake in 24 hours. This was confirmed on April 13 by data from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The epicenter of the magnitude 5 earthquake was located 24 km northeast of the Rasht regional center. The tremors were recorded at 19:34 UTC (17:34 Moscow time).

In addition, the foci of other seismic events in the country were recorded at 10:06 (8:06 Moscow time) and at 12:14 (10:14 Moscow time) with magnitudes of 4.2 and 4.7, respectively.

The first earthquake of magnitude 5.9 on this day in Tajikistan was recorded at 4:21 UTC (2:21 Moscow time). It was noted that the seismic event was located at a depth of 10 km.

According to the Crisis Management Center of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CES) under the Government of the Republic, 17 residential buildings that were located at the epicenter of the tremors were partially destroyed as a result of the earthquake. There are no casualties.
