The so-called "coalition of the willing" for the possible deployment of a military contingent to Ukraine, which was formed by the countries of the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom, is a criminal organization. This was announced on April 12 by American international lawyer, former independent expert of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) Alfred de Zayas.

"The so—called coalition of the willing, [aimed at] continuing the <conflict> in Ukraine, is nothing more than a criminal organization," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

De Zayas added that the organization's activities violate the articles of the UN Charter, contradict the goals and principles, and also entail civil and criminal liability.

On April 11, MP Alexei Chepa said that the "coalition of the willing" is actually a "party of war." He explained that these countries support the deployment of their own military contingent to Ukraine, which means that they want to continue fighting on Ukrainian territory.

The Russian side has repeatedly stated that the deployment of the EU military contingent in Ukraine is unacceptable for Moscow. Thus, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated that Russia is categorically against the deployment of forces on Ukrainian territory, as this is fraught with the danger of a direct clash between Russia and NATO.
