Nikita Gorin, a Russian swordsman, took third place at the World Junior Fencing Championships on April 13. The competitions are held in China.

In the semifinals, the Russian athlete lost to the Italian Matteo Galassi. He lost with a score of 12:15. In the other semi-final, Egyptian athlete Mahmoud Elsayed defeated Ukrainian Maxim Perchuk. Their score was 15:9.

The World Junior, Youth and Cadet Championships will end on April 15. Athletes from Russia compete in them in a neutral status.
