A record low temperature has been recorded in Turkey over the past 30 years. This was announced on April 13 by Minister of Agriculture Ibrahim Yumakli.
So, over the past 3 days, the temperature has dropped to -15 degrees. Some regions have recorded the lowest temperatures in the last 30 years, says EnsonHABER.
"As a result of these adverse weather conditions, unfortunately, we are faced with one of the largest agricultural frosts in our history after the major agricultural frosts in 2014," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
There were also snowfalls and hail on the territory of the country.
Due to the fact that the air temperature dropped sharply, farms suffered. Thus, damage was caused to planted apricot and walnut trees, as well as vineyards, potatoes and onions.
The minister noted that the state plans to provide support to manufacturers who have suffered due to bad weather.
On April 13, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, in an interview with Interfax, reported on the preservation of snow cover in 80% of the territory of Russia.
