Bolshunov became the winner of the 70 km mass start at the Russian Championship


Three-time Olympic champion, skier Alexander Bolshunov won the 70 km freestyle mass start at the Russian Championships in Monchegorsk. This became known on Sunday, April 13.
Bolshunov covered the distance in 2 hours, 37 minutes, 17.1 seconds. In second place is Egor Mitroshin, who lost 44.2 seconds to the 28-year-old athlete. Ivan Yakimushkin reached the finish line in third (+45.1 seconds).
The Russian Ski Racing Championship is being held in Monchegorsk. A day earlier, the women's 50 km mass start took place: Daria Kaneva finished first, Elizaveta Pantrina second, Anastasia Kuleshova third, Sport-Express clarifies.
Earlier, on April 1, it was reported that Bolshunov had won the freestyle sprint at the final stage of the 2024/25 Russian Ski Cup in Kirovsk, Murmansk Region. In the final of the competition, the athlete's score was 2 minutes 51.31 seconds.
