An earthquake of magnitude 4.9 occurred in Kamchatka. This was announced on April 13 by the main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the Kamchatka Territory in the Telegram channel.

"The tremor was registered at 21:45 local time (12:45 Moscow time) in the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Its magnitude was 4.9," the message says.

The ministry clarified that the source was located at a depth of 67 km. In addition, tremors of up to four points were felt in some areas of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yelizovsky district and Vilyuchinsky city district.

No possible casualties or damage were reported.

An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 was recorded on March 14 near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. It was noted that the tremors occurred in the Pacific Ocean at a depth of 43 km. No possible casualties or damage were reported.
