A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. It is noted that units of the Center group of forces liberated the settlement of Elizavetovka in the Donetsk People's Republic, units of the Zapad group of forces occupied more advantageous lines and positions, and units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 130 soldiers, an armored combat vehicle, a car and two field artillery pieces, including a 155-millimeter Krab self-propelled artillery system made in Poland. An electronic warfare station has been destroyed," the Defense Ministry said.
The ministry also said that an F-16 aircraft, eight JDAM guided aerial bombs and seven HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, as well as 207 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles, were shot down by air defense systems.
Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have damaged the infrastructure of the military airfield, the storage of weapons and ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the training center for operators of unmanned aerial vehicles, the location of operational-tactical missiles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and mercenaries in 141 areas.
Since the beginning of the special military operation, 661 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 51,335 unmanned aerial vehicles, 601 anti-aircraft missile systems, 22,817 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,535 multiple rocket launchers, 23,556 field artillery guns and mortars, and 34,048 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
