The talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the US President's special envoy for the Middle East, Steven Witkoff, will be an additional step towards meeting with American leader Donald Trump. This was announced on April 13 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov to journalist Pavel Zarubin.
