A teenager who set fire to a shopping center in Nakhabino, Moscow region, was deceived by fraudsters. This was announced on April 13 by the regional prosecutor's office on the Telegram channel.

"In April 2025, a 13-year—old teenager met a girl named Milana in a messenger, who offered to choose a convenient place for a meeting and asked him to send geolocation," the message says.

It is clarified that after that, he was allegedly contacted by law enforcement agencies, who said that he had passed the data to Ukrainian intelligence and was a traitor to the state.

The scammers demanded to transfer 500 thousand rubles to them. However, the teenager could not find such an amount. Then the scammers told him to buy a canister of gasoline and commit arson. Later, he completed the task and was detained by the police.

Yesterday it became known that Rosgvardiya officers detained a suspect in the arson attack on a shopping center in the village of Nakhabino. According to preliminary data, a minor entered one of the stores with a canister of gasoline and ignited the fuel.
