WWII veteran told about the defeat of fascists by Soviet waxes in Vienna

On April 13, Anatoly Parubin, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, told Izvestia about the defeat of fascist units and the capture of Vienna by Soviet troops.
According to him, the Germans blew up all the bridges that crossed the Danube. Despite this, there was still one booby trapped. If it had been destroyed, then the advance of the Soviet troops could have been seriously hampered. However, the Soviet army still managed to clear the bridge, he said.
The veteran also noted that the residents were hiding from the soldiers. But after the Soviet troops passed on, the townspeople stopped hiding.
"When we took Vienna, we won there. They gathered some tables. <...> They all sat down. The dinner was in honor of the victory," he said.
According to Parubin, in 1945, the Soviet army defeated the "worst enemy", which were the fascists. That is why Russia will be able to win in a special operation in Ukraine.
"We have defeated such a bitter enemy. We will win there too. We won, and they will win. There is no discussion about this," the veteran concluded.
On April 11, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced Russia's desire to see all the leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries at the Victory Day Parade on May 9 in Moscow. According to him, all the ministers emphasized the special importance of the events dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War at the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS countries.
